Hario V60 paper filter is FSC ® certified, this includes an annual check for sustainable forestry where no deforestation should occur, and production should take the local population into account. The filters are locally produced in Japan made of paper fiber and are biodegradable.

The bleached (white) Hario V60 filters that are preferred by most coffee enthusiasts are oxygen bleached, a method that is more environmentally friendly in contrast to chlorine bleaching, which has a greater environmental impact due to emissions during production. In any case, we recommend rinsing the filter well before brewing to remove any paper taste.
